I have been wanting to build an all Black Walnut Stratocaster with locally grown and milled Black Walnut. Seeing this beautiful piece clinches the decision for me. I cannot imagine building a guitar with anything else, although I have. One question I have would be; is it feasible to build a one piece neck from black walnut? I have researched the subjst a little and found no satisfactory answers.

Wow, what a beautiful guitar. That finish is like glass, and that wood is gorgeous… Is it walnut, or black walnut? The color and grain look a whole lot like my favorite black walnut salad bowl.
